Politician. Served as a Member of the Kentucky State House of Representatives from 1876 to 1877, Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky from 1915 to 1919, Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Kentucky in 1916, and was Governor of Kentucky in 1919.
