Louis (also known as Louie) was born with his twin sister, Rebekah, on the family farm in rural Beulah. Rebekah died as an infant. At age 30, Louis died, crushed by a crane, while working on the Hungry Horse Dam. He left behind his wife, Evelyn, and two young children.
