Raymond Albert Howard was born 15 Aug 1903 in Shelton (small farming community near Ririe), Bonneville, Idaho the oldest of the six children born to Albert Clarence Howard and Zilpha Bush Howard. Siblings: Thelma Estella (1907), Leland Oscar (1908), Lucile Howard (1911), Rex Busch (1916) and Treva (1919). He married Cora Marie Park in the Logan LDS Temple on 6 February 1920. They are the parents of 4 children: Garth, Gilbert, Morris and Carol. A lifelong resident of Idaho, he was a car dealer in Ririe and had served as president of the Ririe Lions Club. He was a member of the Jefferson County Fair Board and was a counselor in the Ririe 1st Ward bishopric. Active in the LDS Church, he served as a president of the Elders Quorum. In the primary election, he was an unsuccessful candidate for probate judge on the Republican ticket. At the age of 57, he died of a stroke on Saturday, 1 October 1960 at an Idaho Falls hospital. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, 4 October, 1960 in the Ririe 1st Ward LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Earl Hunter officiating. Burial was in in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of the Eckersell Funeral HOme.
