Gertrude Stubblefield Baggett, 80, of Rosenberg, passed away Sept. 22, 2002 in Richmond. She was born Sept. 13, 1922 in Fort Bend County to James P. Stubblefield and Gertrude Strange Stubblefield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Baggett; son, John Jeffrey Baggett; her parents, James and Gertrude Stubblefield; a sister, Helen Standish; and brothers, Harley, Roy and Kenneth Stubblefield.
Gertrude is survived by her brother, James Stubblefield of Timpson and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the chapel at Davis-Greenlawn with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Dr. Charles Teykl will officiate the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, (281) 341-8800.
