Thomas Eugene Keith, 89, of Wabash, Indiana died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at his daughter's home. He was born October 1, 1921 in Wabash County, Indiana to Stewart Eugene and Muriel (Custer) Keith.

Tom was a 1940 graduate of Chippewa High School and an Army Veteran serving in Germany during WW II. He married Mary M. Haley Feb. 1946 at the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. She died Oct. 10, 1986. He retired from General Tire & Rubber Co. in Wabash after 38 years.Tom was a member of the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ and the Wabash American Legion Post 15. He enjoyed doing yard work, driving his John Deere tractor, and planting and working in his large garden. He also enjoyed watching all sports. Tom was a loving father and best friend to his children.

He is survived by his 2 children, Margaret Baker of Wabash, and Thomas L. Keith of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his sister Esther Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Solomon David officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, Indiana. Friends may call 5-8pm Friday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Bachelor Creek Church of Christ or Wabash-Miami Home Healthcare and Hospice.
