Former Resident of City Dies at 86
Mrs. Elizabeth L. Wilson, widow of Samuel C Wilson and a former resident of Punxsutawney, died in the Bell Rest Home in Fredonia Thursday at the age of 86. She had been a guest in the rest home the past eight months.
Mrs. Wilson was born June 17, 1870, a daughter of Alexander and Isabel Forrester Gordon. She was married first to the late John T. Anderson July 4, 1890, and then to Samuel C Wilson, who died in 1941.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by five sons and daughters. Surviving are 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Mohney Funeral home in Transfer Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Graveside services will be held in the North Cemetery near Panic Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Note: There is not a North Cemetery. Elizabeth was buried at Zion Cemetery located between Panic and Punxsutawney.
