Mrs. Eva (Lyman) Carpenter of No. 18 Burton street, wife of Ralph E. Carpenter, died at the Hartford Hospital yesterday morning of peritonitis, following an operation. She was 42 years old. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Carlos and Allyn Carpenter; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lyman of Hartford, and one brother, John Lyman of Bolton. The funeral, which will be private, will be held at 3'o'clock this afternoon at the undertaking rooms of Smith & Son, No. 61 Church street. The burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
