Gene Holstein, 73, of Cheyenne died June 19 at United Medical Center-West.
He was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Herman, Neb., and had lived here for 27 years.
Mr. Holstein married Betty Lou Disher on Feb. 22, 1948, in Westpoint, Neb.
He owned Quick Chik Drive-In in Fort Collins, Colo., from 1965 to 1972. He was a truck driver after moving to Cheyenne in 1972.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 257.
Mr. Holstein is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Holstein of Cheyenne; three daughters, Peggy Miller of Laramie and Connie Kerr and Gay Emanuel, both of Fort Collins; six brothers; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Laura Holstein; one brother; and one sister.
