Birth: 1834

Death: Aug. 3, 1856
Crawford County

Daughter of John Spencer Woodworth (1785-1850) and his second wife, Elizabeth (Greer) Kinkcade (1796-1871). Rhoda married Clark Breading Lagow on June 2, 1853. They had one son, Lucious F. Lagow, who died at the age of 9 months, 6 days in 1855.

OBIT: "On the 3d instant at the residence of her husband, Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lagow, consort of Mr. Clark B. Lagow, in the 23rd year of her age. Mrs. Lagow was not a professor of religion, but during her short, tho' severe illness, she manifested perfect Christian patience and resignation.

In her death, society has lost one of its brightest ornaments, her husband, a loving and tender wife, those of her most intimate friends, an affectionate companion, and the poor, a true and kind benefactress.

Weep not, young husband, tho' death hath robbed thee of they loved idol. Think of the happy thrice meeting, that hath transpired in heaven since though gavest her up to the angel of death. Think of the clasping of hands and reunion of hearts, in that bright land of love. She hath met that aged father whose loss she so deeply mourned. The little one ye both loved so fondly is once again nestling upon its Mother's bosom, and is all unconscious that it hath ever been severed from that Mother's love.

That loving sister, and thy loved one were not long parted; together had they spent their childhood and were passing their womanhood, and when death took one, the other could not remain long from that sister's love.

Look forward to the time when thou shalt meet her again in heaven, there in the presence of thy God, to live on in love and joy forever. To her friends and those who were more dear to her, I will say, give not up to deep and lasting grief, but rather rejoice, that she has 'passed from death unto life,' and is now where 'the wicked cease from troubling and the weary are at rest.'"
