Her origins are unknown to me at this time, though her maiden name appears to have been Smith, and she possibly was of Scottish origin.

She had first married a man named Dunn, by whom she had one child. She was of Concord,MA when she subsequently married William Osborn on Apr 10,1782 at Sudbury,MA. He was born in England, and he came to America during the Revolutionary War as a soldier, being impressed, with the British 18th Regiment of Foot stationed at Fort
Pitt (Pittsburgh) in 1768 and was transfered to the 5th Regiment of Foot and discharged on May 5,1778 at Staten Island,NY. He at first lived in Boston, working as a shoemaker. They lived at Colrain,MA following their marriage. After Margaret's death, William, with his young family consisting of three sons and one daughter, removed to central New York and bought land on which they lived until William died. William was buried in Steuben County,NY, near Seneca Lake.

Children(by first marriage): Malcolm Dunn.

Children(by second marriage): Thomas Osborn, John Osborn(here?), James Osborn, and Polly Osborn Jones.
