UTICA NY DAILY PRESS; FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 1982 FT. PLAIN - Ambrose Kennerknecht, 88 years old, a resident of the Palatine Nursing Home, and a former resident of R>D> 1, Ft. Plain, died Thursday morning at the Little Falls Hospital, where he had been admitted the previous day. He was born July 11, 1893 in Utica, a son of Casper and Katherine Lehman Kennerknecht. He was married to the late Jessie Holland, December 6, 1919 in London, Enlgnad. Mrs. Kennerknecht died in 1955. Mr. Kennerknecht was a WW 1 Veteran having served with the U.S. Navy in the European Theatre. He was a Naval Aviation Mechanic. For many years prior to his retirement and heath, he was a self-employed dairy farmer in the Town of Stark. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, Ft. Plain and the Mohawk Valley Post 3275 V.F.W. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. Warren Welden, RD Ft. Plain, Mrs. Jean Aney, Herkimer; four sons, ruce an Paul Kennerknecht, both of Ft Plain RD, David of Bonita Springs, FL and Ralph of Miami Feach, FL; two sisters, ertrude Yonkers of NJ and Mrs Katherine McCabe, Whitesboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Gray Funeral Home, F. Plain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 from the St. James Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Ft. Plain Cemetery in the Spring. Calling hours at the Funeral Home, Friday 2-4 and 7-9.
