As a young lady, she was united with the New Hope Baptist Church at Solo and later moved her membership to the First Baptist Church in Houston.
She graduated from Houston High School in 1933 and attended Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield. She taught a few terms of school in Texas County.
She married William D. Thieman March 15, 1936. They had two children and lived on the Thieman homestead and operated the farm at Higginsville.
Mr. Thieman preceded her in death May 2, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Craig Thieman Suplee in 1982; one sister, Esther Lilly; and four brothers, Arvil Altis, Lloyd Altis, Ray Altis and Earnest Altis.
Surviving are her son, William Dan Thieman Jr. of Clovis, N.M.; two sisters, Blanche Mueller and Fern Wilson of Houston; and two grandsons.
Services were Nov. 21 with burial in the Higginsville Cemetery.
