Ona Irene "Reenie" Masters, 92, Independence, Missouri, died Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the Shangra La [Rehab Living Center]. Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 1 pm with services following at 1 pm Thursday, February 8, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Cancer Action Inc, 10520 Barkley, #100, Overland Park, KS 66212.

Reenie was born October 11, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas, and had been a lifelong area resident. She began working in 1979 for the Veterans Administration and later the EPA before retiring from the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Trust in 2009. Reenie was a former member at London Heights Methodist Church and was currently attending Immanuel Baptist Church in Independence. Reenie was a former Blue Bird Leader and volunteered for Cancer Action Inc.

She was preceded by sister, Helen Eisman. Reenie is survived by her son, David Paul Masters, daughter, Claudia Marie Masters, two grandsons, Billy Masters and David Masters, three great-granddaughters, Raven, Robyn and Foenix Masters, three great-grandsons, David, Nathaniel and Lucas, and niece, Deanna Ulmer.
