Abraham "Abe" Jamail was known as "Houston's most Decorated Hero of World War II". His decorations included The Distinguished Service Cross, French Croix De Guerre with Bronze Star, two Silver Stars, Combat Infantry Badge. Purple Heart, and various other awards and medals. Mr. Jamail was an active builder-developer until his retirement in 1979. He is best remembered for his innovative dinner club, the "Congo Jungle". He was a member of Holy Ghost Church, V.F.W., DAV, American Legion, Army and Navy Legion of Valor, the Fellowship Club, United Jamail Club, and the 90th Division Association.
