Author, Playwright. She was married to drama critic, Walter Kerr, who died in 1996. She wrote many books on the subjects of suburbia to show business. Her books include, "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" (1957, which was later turned into a film and television series, 1965-1967), "The Snake Has All The Lines" (1960), "Penny Candy" (1970) and "How I Got To Be Perfect" (1978). She also wrote broadway plays by herself and with her husband, "Song Of Bernadette" (1946), "Jenny Kissed Me" (1948), "Tough And Go" (1949), "Mary Mary" (1961) and "That Certain Feeling" (1956). She was also a panelist on the television series, "Down You Go" (1951-1956).  (bio by: K)
