ANGLIN, JOHN THOMAS "J.T."
John Thomas (J. T.) Anglin, 71, died Wednesday, June 1, 1977, in Hamilton in Hamilton General Hospital following an illness of approximately one month. Mr. Anglin was a lifetime resident of Hamilton County and was well-known throughout the community.
Services were held Friday, June 3, in Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Elmore officiating. Burial followed in Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers were R. D. Todd, Marvin Winningham, Grady Lane, Edgar Williams, Henry Burks, and Charnie Raibourn.
He was a retired farmer, school bus driver, and church custodian. He was born July 16, 1905, to the late Walter Lee and Florence Anglin of Hamilton.
On September 30, 1928, he married Avis Clements and she survives him.
Other survivors include two daughters, Nola Sue Pike and Barbara Jean Majors; one sister, Mrs. Clara V. West; and three brothers, Irvin Anglin, Garland Anglin, and Clayton Anglin; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Rader Blansit.

J.T. had a phenomenial memory for birthdays--never forgetting the month, the day, and the year for countless friends and family members.
