George Cowsky, 77, died this afternoon at the home of a daughter in Omaha. Mr. Cowsky was known to many here, having spent considerable time in the home of his son George since the Cowsky's moved here in 1938. He is survived by three sons and three daughters. Mrs. Cowsky passed away in 1932. Funeral services are to be held in Albion Saturday.

George Cowsky, Sr. was born in Germany Sept. 17, 1873 and came to America at the age of 17.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church before coming to America.
In 1897 he was married to Matilda Spreen of Omaha. She preceded him in death October 1932. To this union six children were born.
He passed away at the home of his daughters, Mrs. A.R. and Mrs. Maurine McFarland of Omaha on Feb. 23, at the age of 77 years.
Funeral services were held at the Crosby-Kunuld funeral home in Omaha Saturday at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Timme of the First Lutheran Church of Omaha in charge.
The body was then taken to Albion, where short services were held at the Herse funeral home and burial was made in the Albion cemetery (sic).
Six children survive him. They are: Wm. Cowsky, Omaha; George Cowsky, Jr., Nelson; Evan Cowsky, Auburn; Mrs. V.C. Quail, Mrs. A.R. McFarland and Mrs. Maurine McFarland, all of Omaha.
