A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his home. He was 94 and a native of Woodville, Miss.
Visiting at King Emmanuel Baptist Church, Woodville, religious service, conducted by the Rev. Nathaniel Nelson. Interment in Dunbar Cemetery, Woodville.
He is survived by three daughters, Pearline Hoy, Harristena Harrison and husband Amos, all of Baton Rouge, and Nancy Grimes and husband Sammuel, of Dallas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and May Ann Dunbar, James and Lydia Dunbar, and Oscar and Eloise Dunbar; sister, France Jones, Wichita, Kan.; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
