MRS. HOWARD CHAMBERS
Mrs. Howard (Eva R.) Chambers, 78, 1201 Vale Park road, died Sunday at Porter Memorial hospital.
A Valparaiso resident for 32 years, she was born Feb. 11, 1890 in Chicago, Ill. On Dec. 24, 1909 in Crown Point, she was married to Howard Chambers, who preceded her in death in 1964. She was a member of the Evangelical Free church of Washington township.
Mrs. Chambers was a member of the Flint Lake Mothers club and the Flint Lake Extension Homemakers club.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lois Whitney of California; one son, Howard of Martinsville, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Elderkin and Mrs. Georgia Ransom, both of Orange City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kosanke Brothers Funeral home, Kouts, with the Rev. Maurice Clipperton officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Kouts.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
