Garth was born October 18, 1932 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Raymond Streeper, Sr. and Martha Dutson Streeper. He grew up and attended schools in the Ririe area. After his graduation from highschool, he attended and graduated from Idaho State University. He then devoted thirty years of service to the United States Treasury Department.
Garth served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
On January 2, 1953, he married Beverly Grace Hammer in Ammon. Together they raised two children. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed traveling, reading, watching and participating in sports, and landscaping.
Survivors include his wife Beverly of Ammon; daughter, Susan Streeper (Stephen) Molcsan of Sunnyvale, CA; grandson, Michael Molcsan of Sunnyvale, CA; and sisters, Dawn Summers and Barbara (Glen)Harmon, both of Ririe, ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond Streeper, Jr.; his son, Michael Streeper; and brother-in-law, William Summers.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
