Samuel "Sam" Albright, 80, of Springfield died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. He was born March 20, 1924, in Mexico, Mo., the son of Lambert and Beatrice Leaderbrant Albright. He married Verna Marion in 1947 in Springfield.
Mr. Albright worked as a self-employed welder. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: wife, Verna; two brothers, Jake (wife, Josephine) and Ellis Albright, both of Springfield; three sisters, Mary (husband, Arthur) Sexton of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Geri Dennison of Belleville and Liz (husband, Larry) Ryner of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: Bisch and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
