He played for the teams Calgary Tigers (1921-1926), Montreal Maroons (1926-1930), and New York Americans (1930-1936). He was a president of the National Hockey League (1943-46) and the Calgary Stampeders Football Club. Dutton served in World War 1 with the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry, being wounded in action in 1917. He held the position of Stanley Cup Trustee until his death. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1958. (bio by: K)
