Louis Blackie Hackstock, 54, died in Lincoln, April 29, 1946. He was born Aug. 18, 1891, in Lincoln, and has been a resident of this community during his entire life. Until 1943, he was employed as driver for Watson Brothers.
He was married to Miss Verla Lewis and to this union was born four children: Two daughters, Beulah (Mrs. J. Martin) of Cleveland, OH, and Eleanor (Mrs. Francis E. Anderson) of R.R. 2, Lincoln; two sons, Richard "Bill" Hackstock of Los Angeles, Calif., and Raymond Fred Hackstock, of Ketchikan, Alaska.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, two brothers, Matthew Hackstock of Fremont, Neb., George Hackstock of Fort Morgan, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Matt Repp of Casper, Wyo.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at Umbergers chapel, Rev. M.H. Knoblock officiating, assisted by Rev. A.A. Kerber. Pallbearers: Thomas Bentley, Darold Rohrbaugh, Herbert Anderson, Clifford Anderson, Harold Hackstock and Donald Burke. Burial was made in the Soldier's Circle, Wyuka, with American Legion post No. 3 in charge.
