Services for Joyce Duchesne Rabun of Farmerville will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Farmerville with Reverend David Martin and Reverend Roger Johnson officitiating. Burial will be in the Farmerville Cemetery.

Mrs. Rabun died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mrs. Rabun was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmerville. She was very active with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Farmerville High School Band. She was a charter member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, and former member of the Entre Nos Book Club. She published her own cook book and wrote a book, "Down on the Farm", for only her children. She was a member of the Wednesday Bridge Club and was an avid golfer.

Mrs. Ruben was preceded in death by her husband, Zollie C. Rabun, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy and her fiance' Dirk MacTavish of Paducah, Kentucky; two son: Patrick and wife Jane of San Diego, California and Clay Rabun of Plano, Texas; two granddaughters, Carolyn Rabun and Amy Rabun of San Diego, California; four sisters: Verniece Horton of West Monroe, Louisiana, Mackie Fitch of Monroe, Louisiana, Syble and George Evanoff of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Betty and Charles Thompson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and two sisters-in-law: Hazel Dean Duchesne of West Monroe, Louisiana and Eloise Duchesne of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bill Duncan, Ted Lamprich, Jay McCallum, Mark Preaus, Stanley Read and Tim Tettleton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Barron, Charles Calcote, Morris Gilmore, James Hill, Emory Moon, H. P. Roberts, Zeke Tettleton, and Carlton White.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14, 2005 between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM at Kilpatrick 's Funeral Home in Farmerville, Louisiana.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, Louisiana.
