Sailor, author, and aviator. He became famous worldwide as a solo sailor. In 1932, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean alone from Archacon (France) to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The voyage lasted 74 days. In 1942, during WWII, he made his greatest voyage, circumnavigating the world from June 27 to August 27, 1943. He also wrote the books "Solo, Rumbo a la Cruz del Sur," "Los Cuarenta Bramadores," and "Mis Viajes." (bio by: 380W)
