Robert Frederick "Fred" Poorman, 85, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Monday, May 23, 2011.
Interment was in Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla.
Fred was born April 25, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; two daughters, Donna and Shannon; sister, Francis; four grandsons; two great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pearl Poorman, of Noble, and his brother, Jim Poorman, of Vincennes, Ind.
