DNA evidence shows that she could have been the mother, aunt or an older sister to the youngest and oldest children. All of the victims were either partially or completely skeletonized when they were found and are believed to have died between 1977 and 1985. The girl that was found with the adult woman was between five and eleven years old, and the next two girls were between two and four and one and three, respectively.
**UPDATE** On June 6, 2019, NH authorities revealed the identities of the mother and 2 daughters (Marie E. Vaughn and Sarah L. McWaters). The 3rd child has yet to be identified.∼Marlyse Elizabeth Honeychurch was born on January 28, 1954, in Fairfield, Connecticut, her father, Paul Honeychurch, was 28, and her mother, Angelina Steffani Honeychurch, was 21. She was the second to oldest of 5 children, Paula, Roxanne, Michelle and David. She attended her sophomore year at Stamford High School in Stamford, Connecticut. A few years after her parents divorced, she moved to California to live with her mother and attended Artesia High School in Lakewood, California. In 1971 she married Michael Steven Vaughn and they had a daughter, Marie Elizabeth Vaughn, together. After they divorced, she then married Ralph Elroy McWaters and they had a daughter, Sarah Lynn McWaters. Marlyse was bubbly, quirky, and had a good sense of humor. She was excited to be a mom and she loved her kids dearly. She died as a young mother with her daughters, as tragic homicide victims, around 1980-81 in Allenstown, New Hampshire, at the age of 26, and was buried there. Her body was not found until 1985, and not identified by DNA until 2019. The 3rd "middle" child was the daughter of Terry Rassmussen, and has yet to be identified.
