SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Jess E. Carrillo, 68, of South Sioux City died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Wittrock officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Jess was born April 17, 1937, in Green River, Wyo., the son of Sabas and Rosie (Graham) Carrillo. He was employed as a Wonderbread and Hostess route salesman for 32 years, retiring in 1996.
He married Diane Joles in 1986, in Elk Point, S.D.
He loved to watch baseball and football, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He enjoyed the NFL and watching war movies and the History Channel. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Diane of South Sioux City; a son and his wife, Robert and Heather Grandgenett of South Sioux City; two daughters and their husbands, Sheila and Jim Riley of Bellevue, Neb., and Lisa and David Parks of South Sioux City; and seven grandchildren, Brooklynn, Beau, Colton and Cole Grandgenett, McKenzie Parks, Jessie Gunsolley and Sydney Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.
Pallbearers will be David Parks, Doug Pierce, Rick Merchant, Louie Joles, Danny Sanford and Jim Riley.
