George Nagel, 71, a pioneer of Antelope county passed away Oct. 10, 1933 in the Lutheran hospital at Norfolk. Mr Nagel was born on December 17, 1862 at Shellrock, Ia. When he was but a few months old his mother moved to Elk Grove, Ill., near Chicago, where he resided until in 1884; since then he has resided in Antelope county with the exception of a short time spent in Wheeler county. He was married on Mar. 19, 1890 in Neligh, to Miss Nellie Smith and to this union were born three sons and seven daughters. He leaves to mourn his departure, his beloved wife, and all ten children, thirteen grand children, one brother, Fred Nagel, of Des Plains, Ill., five sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Karl Zieman, assisted by Rev. L. Yost of Page, on Friday afternoon at the Community Church. Interment was in the cemetery at Brunswick.
