Kear, James Ora- age 84, longtime resident of Duncan Rd., Knoxville, passed away 3 a.m. Saturday at Ft. Sanders Hospital. Member of Lovell Heights Church of God. Survivors: sons, Ray Kear, Dandridge, Ralph Kear, Rev. J.H. Kear, both of Knoxville; daughter Mrs. Earl (Geneva) Scates, Knoxville; foster son, Fred Abbott, Knoxville; brother, Clarence Kear, Sevierville; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service 8 p.m. Sunday at Rose Highland Chapel, Rev. Tim Brown officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for 12 noon graveside service. Pallbearers: Wayne Kear, Earl Kear, Ralph Edward Kear, Larry Scates. Rob Effler, Bob French. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Sunday at Rose Mortuary Highland Chapel, 5315 Kingston Pike.
