WILLIAM T. CURRIER 3D BROCKTON FINE ARTS DEALER; AT 47
A funeral Mass will be held today at 10 a.m. at St. Edward's Church in Brockton for William Thomas Currier 3d of Brockton, owner of Currier Fine Arts in that city. Mr. Currier died last Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries received that day in an auto accident on Route 95 in West Greenwich, R.I. He was 47.
Born in Boston, Mr. Currier graduated from Boston University in 1969. While at BU, he was a record-holding javelin thrower. He later was a New England Masters javelin champion.
Mr. Currier worked for 15 years as a physical education teacher in the Boston public schools. A fine arts dealer and appraiser, he was a member of the New England and National Appraisers Association. He was also a communicant of St. Edward's Church in Brockton.
He leaves his parents, William T. and Lillian (Martell) of West Yarmouth; his wife, Donna L. (Mitchell) of Brockton; a son, Christopher W. of Brockton; a daughter, Danielle L. of Brockton; and three sisters, Sandra Scott of Bermuda, and Sharon and Christina, both of Quincy.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
