Obituary:
Lela Marie McKay Appleby, 85, of Breckenridge went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 24, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be at 2PM Thursday at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon with Revs. Ron and David Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home of Breckenridge.
Marie was born on Feb. 20, 1926 to parents John and Melvinna McKay. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, husband, Bob Appleby and a son, Jackie Appleby and one granddaughter, Dawn Marie Appleby. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by two sons, Larry W. Appleby and wife Valinda of Breckenridge, Jessie Appleby of Vernon, two sisters, Nell Morris and Faye Olgesby both of Vernon. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Blade King, Thad King, Devon Appleby Stephen McKay, William Olgesby, Marty Appleby, Ronnie McKay and Todd Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobbie Edmond, Ronald Ingram, Jeff Stewart, Mike Parks, Beau King and Luke King
