Lula Pearl Wyrick Woodin was born near Tuscumbia, Miller Co., Mo., on October 8th 1890. Her parents, G.W. and Ella Wyrick, being one of the prosperous farmer families of Miller County. When in her 16th year she was married to Kenneth Wyrick, of the same name as she, but no relation, however. To this union one child was born, Clofa Kenneth, whose father died in his infancy.
She afterward met Dr. A.J. Woodin of Crocker, Mo. and after a brief courtship they were married at Tuscumbia court house on Aug. 5th 1913 by Hiram Messersmith, Justice of the Peace. To this union two children were born, one a little boy who died at birth, the other a girl, Cloe Gail Woodin now nearly three years of age.
She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband and two children, a father and mother, six brothers and three sisters. She was a kind and loving mother and a devoted wife, beloved by all who knew her. She died at her home in Crocker of Spanish Influenza Dec. 28, 1918, age 28 years two months and 20 days.
She united with the Christian Church Nov. 1917 and in that faith she died.
