David Carroll Ebeltoft, 53, of Boise ID, died May 22nd 2011.
David was born in Modesto, California on Sept 30th 1957 to Carroll Nord and Louise Ebeltoft. He was raised in Boise and Idaho Falls ID. David spent much of his time in the Boise area as a young boy, then moved with the family to Idaho Falls.
David worked for an automotive parts store in Boise and in Idaho Falls. He had a passion for cars and could fix anything.
David was stricken with diabetes at the age of 8. He suffered with difficulties from the disease throughout his life. He was never one to back down from any task and would help anybody…especially if it had to do with engines. He took much pride in his knowledge of all cars and loved the old ones.
He developed a love for music at a very small age and taught himself to play the drums. He performed in many bands and groups. He also loved his work helping individuals with disabilities.
He married Christi Poulsen in 1978.They made their home in Star Valley, Wy. They were blessed with son Ryan in May of 1979 and Rachael in November of 1982. He returned to Boise to be close to the kids he adored.
Survivors include his children, son, Ryan David Ebeltoft(wife, Angie) and their 3 daughters, and daughter, Rachael Anna Ebeltoft, and her son, of Boise, Id; Sisters, Linda Fultz(husband Neal, deceased ) of Boise, Id, Leslie Mead( husband, Peter), of Alta, Wy; Brother, Loren Ebeltoft, of Placerville, Id; And sister, Lisa Voigt ( husband, Gary) of Idaho Falls, Id. Numerous precious nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews which loved seeing him when they would come to visit.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, one granddaughter, and three nieces.
Memorial services will be held at 10: 00 a.m. May 27th 2011 at 1560 North Ten Mile Road Meridian in the LDS church. Bishop Garner will be officiating.
