Fred attended Rockdale Public School and A&M College and Southwestern University, Georgetown. On 26th February 1908 he was married to Etta Loper. He was a member of the Methodist church and at the time of his death, cashier of the Rockdale State Bank, president of the school board, and commissioner of the Boy Scouts.
