Death: Jun. 17, 1913, USA

Indian Wars Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served during the Wars against the Plains Indians as a Sergeant in Company F, 5th United States Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Milk River, Colorado from September 29 to October 5, 1879. His citation reads "The command being almost out of ammunition and surrounded on 3 sides by the enemy, he voluntarily brought up a supply under heavy flre at almost point blank range". His Medal was awarded to him on January 27, 1880. (bio by: Russ Dodge)
