Mrs. Emma S. Hill,
Pioneer, Passes Away
Mrs. Emma S. Hill, a pioneer of 1853, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Jackson, in Winder ward Tuesday, following an illness of six weeks. She was 74 years old, having been born at Bradford, Yorkshire, England, June 27, 1845.
Surviving her are the following children: John A. Hill, Mrs. Ann Eliza Birch, Benjamin R. Hill, and Mrs. Jackson, all of this city, Royal P. Hill, Gannett, Ida.; Lawrence R. Hill, Glenn's Ferry Ida.; Thomas W. Hill and Mrs. Florence Bird of Salt Lake. She is also survived by two brothers, Reuben Ashworth and Thomas Ashworth of Salt Lake and two sisters, Mrs. Vilate O'Brien of California, and Mrs. Sarah Thatman, Salt lake.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mill Creek ward chapel. Interment will be in the Mill Creek cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home of Mrs. Jackson.
