John "Nick" Marcel Rigoulot Jr., 61, of Rigby, died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Kelley Canyon.

Nick was born February 15, 1949, in Idaho Falls to John Marcel Rigoulot and Vivian Labrum Rigoulot. He was raised in Idaho Falls and attended O.E. Bell Elementary, and Clair E. Gale Jr. High. His family then moved to Rigby where he graduated from Rigby High School in 1969. On August 25, 1973, he married Janet Nancy Young in Annis, Idaho. Together they had 3 sons.

He worked for McKamey Brothers Potato Processors, U & I Sugar Company, Challenge Dairy in Idaho Falls, Grovers Distributing, Saving Center in Idaho Falls as the Produce and Dairy Manager for 20 years, and retired when Savings Center closed.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as the secretary for the upper Valley MOPARS. Nick enjoyed NASCAR, NHRA drag racing, fishing, camping snowmobiling, 4-wheeler riding, tinkering on his 1971 Challenger MOPAR, trips to Jackpot and Wendover with family and friends, and he especially loved to spend time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years; Janet Rigoulot, of Rigby, sons; John Marcel. Rigoulot III, of Rigby, Jamie Kay Rigoulot, of Rigby, Jason Paul (Taylina) Rigoulot, of Idaho Falls, sisters; Marie (Paul) Castro, of Idaho Falls, Marcella (Bob) Hill, of Irwin, and 5 grandchildren; Adrianne, Rachael, Kodie, Casey, Max.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John & Vivian Rigoulot, a sister; Cheri Kerns, a grandson; Drake Rigoulot and his father and mother-in-law; Lloyd & Lola Young.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the Clark-Shelton LDS Chapel, 198 N. 4300 E., Rigby, with Bishop Danny Ferguson, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
