Services for Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Runnels, 67, of Rt. 4, Mt. Olive, were held Friday, May 19, at 2:00 p.m. from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carl Underhill and Rev. Wardell Kennedy were the officiating ministers. Interment was in Sharon Cemetery.
Mrs. Runnels died May 17 at University Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Runnels, of Magee and Paul David Runnels, Mt. Olive; one step-son, Emmitt Runnels, Magee, four daughters, Mrs. Willie Fairchild, Magee; Mrs. Hazel Dowe, Utica, Mrs. Edna Earle Robinson, Mt. Olive, and Mrs. Jean Alice Dennis, Magee; one step-daughter, Mrs. Bobbie Nell Smith, Mt. Olive; two brothers, Quitman Maddox of Magee and Curnel Maddox of Jackson; four sisters, Mrs. Margie Dilmore, Mrs. Willie McWilliams, Mrs. Vernon Reeder, all of Magee, and Mrs. Mattie Phelps, New Augusta; 19 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren.
Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
