HILL, Larry - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Larry Hill, age 86, was born March 12, 1925 and died May 19, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital following an extended illness. The owner of Cash and Carry Grocery, United States Air Force veteran of WWII and member of the Hebron Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Clifford and Lena Stotts Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Evanell Hill. He was married to his wife of sixty-two years, Christine Simons Hill of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Tex Perry and Babs and Bruce Boyd both of McMinnville; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; in September Mr. Hill would have become a great-great-grandfather; brother, Clinton "Pee Wee" Hill of McMinnville and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronald and Luann Simones of Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011 in High's Chapel with Chris Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
