Mrs. Mary B. Bennett died suddenly Friday night in St. Peter Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day.
Born No. 27, 1885, in Deming, N.M., as a child she moved with her parents to Butte, where her father, the late James A. MacQuarrie was a mine superintendent. She graduated from
Butte High School in 1905 and married Charles C. Bennett March 5, 1912.
They moved to Helena in 1916 and for many years lived at 571 State and for the past two years resided at 3 North Dakota. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Neighbors of Woodcraft.
In addition to her husband, a retired bookbinder, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mern P. Stebbins of Helena and Mrs. H.T. Nikolas, Raymond, Miss.; a son, Charles W.
Bennett, Raleigh N.C.; sister, Mrs. S. L. Ritner, San Francisco; two brothers, Arthur MacQuarrie of Spokane; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hagler Chapel with Rev. Lewis Harro of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in
Forestvale Cemetery.
