Frank A. Kester, 92, of Warren, IN, died Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton.
Mr. Kester was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He was an alcohol counselor at Parkview Hospital and an alcohol and drug counselor at the Marion VA Hospital. he was the founder of the 13th Step House for recovering alcoholics. He was a member of the Holiness House of Prayer Church in Marion.
He was born Jan. 23, 1919, in Sheridan to Albert Porter and Letha Kercheval Kester. He married Roberta "Bobbie" Kester on March 9, 1973 in Fort Wayne and she survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Sharon and Virginia; two sons, Larry and Michael; and several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at a later date at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
Glancy-H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren, is in charge of arrangements.
