Born March 16, 1930, passed away July 2, 2021. Jonnie C. Flusche was the third of five daughters born to Clara Mae Mullican. A child growing up in the oilfields of the East Texas oil boom. Clara then settled in Longview with her daughters where Jonnie attended Longview High School. Jonnie was a proud member of the Longview High School Loboettes drill team. In her childhood she contracted Polio which required several treatments and surgeries at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. Their generosity allowed that little girl from the oil fields to grow up and have a wonderful life. After graduation she met the love of her life, Donald Flusche, Sr. at a Halloween party. They were married on February 21, 1950. Their first child, Donald Jr. was born on St. Patricks Day, 1951. The Second, Karl was born four years later and the surprise third son Michael 6 years after. Jonnie enjoyed being the supportive wife and mother. She ran the household while Donald worked odd hours at the Dallas Police Department. She later became an officer and President of the Dallas Police Officer Wives Auxiliary. She volunteered as school room mother and Cub Scout leader with each of her sons. She nursed them when needed, attended their sports and school activities, enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas, and celebrated their birthdays with home baked cakes. Jonnie and Donald were original members of St. Pius X Catholic Church and she was an active member of the St. Bernadette Ladies Circle. She saw each of her sons grow into adulthood and follow their own paths. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. When Donald Jr. was involved in a terrible accident she was at his side, along with Donald Sr. and her daughter in law LaNelle.

Jonnie was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Flusche Sr., her oldest son Donald Jr. and middle son Karl. Also her mother Clara and her sisters Joyce, Wanda and Jean. She is survived by her son Michael (Grace) and daughters in law LaNelle and Cindy. Her Grand Children Donald Flusche III, D'Andra Flusche, Lorraine Lane, Karl John Flusche, Stefanie Constanzo and Michael Flusche Jr. Her greatgrandchildren Matthew, David, Christopher, Alyssa, Zachary, Avery, Reid and Micah. She is also survived by her sister Bobbie Braun.

A Rosary and visitation will be held at Sparkman Crane Funeral Home on Wednesday July 7, from 5-8pm, located at 10501 Garland Road, Dallas TX 75218. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 8, at 11am, in the Chapel of Sacred Heart Cemetery with graveside services to immediately follow.
