Emery St. Clair Bolivar, 82, Bridgewater, died January 11, 1995, at home. Born in Blockhouse, he was a son of the late Samuel and Luetta (Lohnes) Bolivar. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Bridgewater, where he had served on the church council; former member of the senior and male choir; member of LaHave Lodge 60, Independent Order of Oddfellows, holding many offices in 48 years; grandmaster for the Atlantic Provinces and Newfoundland for 1988-89; grand representative to Sovereign Grand Lodge in North Carolina, 1988 and in Reno, 1989; past chief patriarch of Central Encampment 48; former member of Canton Swastika 6, Atlantic Rebekah Lodge 52, and an honourary member of Bridgewater Fire Department. He worked in the funeral business, employed with Wamback Memorial Chapel and with R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, until his retirement. Surviving are his wife, the former Phyllis Wile; sons, Robert, Hebbville; David, Hebbs Cross; daughter, Karen (Mrs. Robert A. Corkum), Bridgewater; sister, Marjorie (Mrs.Arthur Selig), Dayspring; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, Lindbergh. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Immediate family flowers only.
