James E. Durant, 63, of Massillon and formerly of Brewster, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Coshocton on August 15, 1944 to the late Eugene J. and Jean M. (Bookless) Durant and lived all of his life in this area.
He retired from the Ohio Army National Guard and from Consolidated Freight and was a member of Teamsters Local 24 and 92.
He is survived by his siblings, Norma Sword, Gary Durant, Ted Durant, Dale Durant, Theresa Swan, Terry Durant, Iva Otto, Tim Durant and their spouses; sixteen nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews. We will never know all of the lives Jim has touched with his stories, "gifts", generosity and kindness.
All who have known him will miss him dearly. Following his wishes cremation as taken place and a family memorial service was held.
