EDGAR CLEVENGER Obituary
Edgar O. Clevenger, age 87 of Hooks, Texas, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Clevenger was born December 17, 1923 in Foreman, Arkansas. He was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, member of the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher, and was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during WWII.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, June Ford.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Clevenger of Hooks, Texas; two daughters and three sons-in-law, Janice and Jimmy Huddle of Red Lick, Texas, Karen and Gary Shirley of New Boston, Texas, Pat Ford of Marshall, Texas; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Hardaway and Chaplain Dominique Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon at the funeral home from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M.
