--She married Barney Braswell; she had one daughter, Wanda.
--member of Statesville Road Baptist Church.
I wasn't related to this family by blood but I knew them my entire life and they were my family. I loved them dearly.
Fannie was like my 2nd mother.
Fannie, retired from Allstate in Charlotte North Carolina.
She always had beautiful flowers in her yard and planted tomato plants each summer.
She was a wonderful woman. I have so many fond memories of her. I remember Wanda and I would watch TV on Saturday nights together and Fannie would be doing the ironing, afterwards she always called her sister and they would chat till I had to go home to go to bed.
Her daughter Wanda died of cancer on her birthday. Fannie and I stayed with Wanda night and day till she passed on. Fannie lost her husband and daughter so close together. I think she kind of gave up to a degree after Wanda died. Wanda was her only child. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and died in a nursing home in Huntersville, NC.
I think of Fannie almost daily and I'll always miss her.
