| Birth: | Sep. 29, 1903 | | Death: | Apr. 11, 1973 |  Actor. Born Edward Gildea De Corsia in Brooklyn, New York, he was best known for his role as a villain, in many 1940s and 1950s western films. He began his career doing voiced roles in the 1940s, on many radio shows such as "The March of Time", "The Shadow" and "Mike Hammer". He made his feature movie debut in "The Lady from Shanghai" (1948), followed by "The Lady from Shanghai" (1948). His other credits include "Crazy Over Horses" (1951), "The Joker is Wild" (1957), "The Quick Gun" (1964), "Nevada Smith" (1966) and "The Outside Man" (1971). For television, he was a regular on such shows as "Sea Hunt", "Ben Casey", "Staccato", "Steve Canyon", "Twilight Zone" and "I Dream of Jeannie". He died in Encino, California, at age 69.
