Emil George Anderson of Haddam was born July 4, 1901, on a farm south of Haddam, the son of Emil O. and Margaret Bohm Anderson, and died at the Homestead in Washington on October 11, 1985. He was 84.

He spent most of his life in the Haddam area. He began farming at the age of 14 following his father's death. He also did carpentry work. On October 3, 1938, he married Freeda Perkins at Endicott, Neb.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Orley T. and Archie J. Anderson; one sister, Celia Anderson June. Survivors include his wife of 47 years; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held October 14 at the United Methodist Church in Haddam, with Rev. Joe Reagan officiating. Interment was in Haddam City Cemetery.
