Ketra M. Decker, 86, died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Born in Astoria, Ill. on Aug. 19, 1920 to Verne and Maude Welker Wilson, she married John W. Decker on July 4, 1943 in Peoria, Ill.; he died Oct. 25, 1977.
A graduate of Browns Business College in Peoria, Ill., she was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Joliet, Ill., a member of Katherine Gaffney Circle of King's Daughters, and the Advisory Board at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. She moved to Heritage Pointe in Feb., 2006.
Survivors include a son, John W. Decker II of Huntington; a daughter, Rebecca Decker Myford of North Royalton, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Wilson.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren, with calling one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Astoria, Ill. Saturday at 7 p.m., Central Time.
Preferred memorials are to the Silver Cross Hospital Advisory Board.
